The Garberhof family hotel... adventures for children, relaxation for adults.
Is that a dragon?
We haven’t been in our hiding place for long. We are waiting, carefully camouflaged behind a hedge in the midst of the spruce forest. A wild animal has left the tracks that led us here. Was it a deer? Or a fox? Certainly not a dragon. Because they are extinct – or are they?
Let’s just wait, perhaps we’ll see it. We have to be quiet. Very, very quiet! Don’t move – what was that? A strange sound breaks the silence. We could only see something out of the corner of our eyes. Nothing specific. Too bad, because now it’s scurried away. It was probably a small deer. Or was it a dragon?
Well, if we wait a little longer, we are sure to see other animals: foxes, squirrels or even our bear Pino… So now we have to watch, creep about and read the tracks.
Well camouflaged.
Our nature detectives have lots to do with the natural world. And, just like real detectives, they learn how to read the tracks of wild animals. These junior naturalists must also of course learn how best to camouflage themselves and how to orientate themselves in the forest without any navigation system. And who better to teach them than our trained nature guides and experts from South Tyrol?
Nature? Naturally!
Being outside and climbing, fishing, reading tracks… Where else but in the unique natural world of South Tyrol? The little nature detectives can see various animals and really let off steam.
Perhaps this exciting journey of discovery, where children can make full use of their curiosity and their urge to get out and about, will even lay the foundations of a lifelong love for nature.
The Familix Nature programme is offered all year round. It can be booked as an inclusive special at no extra cost. All that kids need is good clothing and sturdy footwear, as well as a large dose of curiosity and a wish to discover things.
And who knows, there may still be one or two dragons to be found in Rasen-Antholz…
